For a lot of bookworms, choosing a few of their favourite books is a near impossible task- mainly because there’s too many favourites to pick from! But today I wanted to share some of my top favourites with you because there’s nothing I enjoy more than sharing the books that I love. So without further ado, here are a few of my favourite books (in no particular order because haha that would probably take forever to decide on).
So today I thought I’d do a short blog post on whether becoming a book blogger has changed my reading habits. I saw this idea over on Boats Against the Current and thought it would be a cool way to kind of mark my book blogging journey which I have been on for nearly two years. Read more
Happy 2018 everyone! 🎆 As it’s a brand new year, I’ve decided to wise up and find smarter ways to buy books. Here are some of the tips I’ll be sticking to this year- feel free to share some of your own or even some of the resolutions you’ve made for this year!
#1 Buy e-books
They’re usually a lot cheaper than paperbacks, hardbacks and most definitely audio books. Bonus: e-books take up 0 shelf space, and so you won’t have to worry about that ever-growing pile of unread books. Read more
So yesterday was my birthday!!🎈 I am both excited and terrified at the fact that I am now 21…! Either way, it’s a milestone birthday and so I decided to mark the special occasion by doing this cool birthday book tag, I found over on this blog.
Count your birthday along your bookshelf and then subtract your birth month. What book does it land on?
The Help by Kathryn Stockett which is a brilliant book that I’d 100% recommend you read!
A new year, new reading challenges, and of course new book releases!
#1 King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard
This is the very much anticipated third instalment of the Red Queen series! With the cliffhanger that left me with so many questions at the end of Glass Sword, I really cannot wait to dive into King’s Cage. I’ve also kind of (really) missed the Silvers and their petty politics back at the palace, so I’m looking forward to seeing how they’ve been handling recent events. Plus, have you seen all the snippets Victoria’s been teasing us with? If not, be sure to check them out by clicking here because they’ve got me even more hyped for the release! There’s just a month to go, so mark 9th February in your calendars! Read more
I saw this over at Spines and Covers and couldn’t resist taking part!
♫You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch♫
Name a villainous character you couldn’t help but love.
Manon Blackbeak from the Throne of Glass series! I like that despite the risks and inevitable backlash she’d receive, she still always chose to follow through with what she believed in.
♫All I Want for Christmas is You♫
Which book to you most hope to see under your Christmas tree?
Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen Mah 🙂
Hey guys! I’m really excited to finally be posting something bookish other than my usual reviews. Below I’ve put together a list of the 5 authors I would love to meet and why. I had a lot of fun compiling this list so I hope you have just as much fun reading it!
#1 Victoria Aveyard
Victoria is really active on social media which is such a bonus for the fans because it’s given us the opportunity to learn a lot about what she’s like as a person and I think most can agree that Victoria is brilliant! Apart from writing one of my favourite books, she has a great sense of humour, seems so down to earth, and spends a lot of her free time answering hundreds of our questions on Tumblr.
One of the things I love most about her though is that she isn’t afraid to speak her mind on a lot of social justice topics. I really admire that as someone who has the ability to reach a larger audience, she is pretty vocal and honest with herself about issues that need to be talked about. She is such a fighter for equality and diversity and so as well as being a great writer, she’s also a thoughtful human being. So I’m glad to support her and of course, it would be a dream to meet her. Read more
